Omaha Adult Entertainment: Review: Come As You Are (Hasta la Vista!)

And a deserved buzz it is. Belgian director Geoffrey Enthovenâs edgy comedy strikes all the right notes as it tells the story of three young disabled men who go on a road trip to a Spanish brothel catering to men in their situation.
Inspired by the real-life journey undertaken by Britainâs Asta Philpott, Come As You Are surprises in more than just its premise. Enthoven is refreshingly fearless in his portrayal of pals Lars (Gilles De Schryver), Philip (Robrecht Vanden Thoren) and Joseph (Tom Audenaert), who are respectively terminally ill, paraplegic and blind.
Rather than sidestep the issues or treat his protagonists with kid gloves, he shows them to be regular guys who joke around, talk about sex and make fun of each other.

The premise is established when Philip hears about the above-noted brothel and suggests to his buddies that they make it the destination of their first-ever vacation.
