Police Prostitution Sting Nets Almost A Dozen People

Omaha, NE-On Wednesday alone, nearly a dozen people busted for soliciting prostitution in the area of 25th and Jones. Police officers were undercover as prostitutes, while others solicit sex as so called “Johns”. They caught those involved in the sex trade right in Downtown Omaha.
“Money was on my mind before I got in the car, but I kind of felt that he was an officer,” Sondelia Bradford ticketed for soliciting prostitution. Bradford is one of 4 women caught in an undercover sting which targeted suspected prostitutes and “Johns”.
“Sometimes we do have to utilize undercover officers, because it is not something a uniform officer will be able to do,” said Lt. Darci Tierney of the Omaha Police Department. The sting took place in the middle of the day along 24th and Jones. Neighbors say prostitution in the area is a problem that keeps coming back.
