The heat in Omaha has finally subsided. It’s been scorching in the Midwest and South. It was so hot a couple people actually walked into a theater showing the Sarah Palin documentary just to cool off.
According to genetic testing, a mountain lion that was hit by a car in Connecticut had walked there from South Dakota. The mountain lion didn’t plan to walk to Connecticut but with the latest round of post office closings it was the closest place to South Dakota to mail a letter.
There’s a proposal to ban new strip clubs in downtown Lincoln because strip clubs don’t fit in. Sure, the strip clubs look a little incongruous beside the blacksmiths, general stores and the telegraph offices that dot downtown Lincoln.
