When we hear “spa services,” most think of manicures, pedicures and therapeutic massages. Three Omaha spas specialized in services unlike any others and were the subject of an FBI investigation.
Clients need to know where they’re going to find the gentleman’s spa at 93rd and Maple. No signs above the door to indicate that inside women provide table showers or lotions rubs. Even during operating hours, clients who came here had to ring a buzzer to be let in.
A neighbor who didn’t want to be identified said the employees didn’t dress like massage therapists. “They’re in jeans, high heels and tops. No, they’re not like a normal massage parlor in scrubs. In the summer it’s tight shorts and tank tops.” She only saw women employees.

OMAHA — More than 30,000 roared when executive compensation consultants were called prostitutes. It was similar when libertarian former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan was caricatured as believing that any axe murder must be good if it occurs in a free market.
There was funny video featuring the cast of Glee, tennis icons Roger Federer and Billie Jean King and a cartoon in which the character of Herman Cain was voiced by, yes, Herman Cain. Then there was badmouthing of graduate business schools, most any new stock issue and even those who say we must seek “energy independence.”

On executive compensation consultants, the two find that species self-serving handmaidens who tell corporate chieftains what they want to hear so they can then get new client referrals. “Prostitution would be a step up for them,” said Munger.

He was clear that he was comfortable with the buyback price at 1.1 times book value – even saying they want the stock to be very undervalued before they buy back shares.
The unspoken but seemingly obvious message was that with the stock trading at 1.15 times book value, the shares were very cheap.
“Medical costs are the tapeworm of American industry,” Mr Buffett said, while Mr Munger said of the previous Federal Reserve chairman: ”Some might say Alan Greenspan overdosed on [writer] Ayn Rand” and that “prostitution would be a step up for [executive] compensation consultants”.

Mr. Munger is known for his delicate touch. Piping up on the compensation consultant issue, he remarks that when it comes to that profession, prostitution would be “a step up.”

Two people are in jail following a Nebraska State Patrol investigation involving the forced prostitution of a 14-year old female. The arrests follow a weeklong investigation in which investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol were provided information of a Craig’s List personal ad offering female companionship in the Kearney area. On Thursday, April 26, a 35-year old Upland woman was arrested at a Kearney motel, after she offered an undercover officer the services of a 14- year-old female. A search warrant was served on April 26, at the Upland home of the 35-year old woman, where investigators recovered computers and other electronic devices. The continuing investigation led to the arrest of a male suspect in Omaha. The 35-year-old female is being held in the Buffalo County Jail on a charge of conspiracy to commit sexual assault of a child and child pornography. Her name …

A 35-year-old female from Upland, whose name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim, and 38-year-old Alexander C. Rahe, of Omaha, are both being held in the Buffalo County Jail.
The arrests follow a weeklong investigation in which investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol were provided information of a Craig’s List personal ad offering female companionship in the Kearney area.
Last Thursday, the Upland woman was arrested at a Kearney motel, after she offered an undercover officer the services of a 14- year-old female.
At the woman’s home in Upland investigators recovered computers and other electronic devices which led to the arrest, yesterday, of Rahe in Omaha.

* Nebraska State Senator Colby Coash has canceled a campaign fundraiser with controversial rocker Ted Nugent. It was to be a different type of fundraiser – a $500 a plate dinner, where attendees are each given a bow and arrow and told to kill their own meal.
* Longtime New York Congressman Ed Towns is stepping down. He’s served in the House of Representatives since 1983. He’s been in Congress so long, he can remember an accomplishment.
* Now there’s an allegation that U.S. Secret Service agents were intoxicated and picking up prostitutes in the VIP section at an El Salvador strip club. At this point, I think we can safely drop the word “secret” from Secret Service.
