At the manor, the entire Gossip Girl cast reenacts something similar to that terrifying horror film that was Eyes Wide Shut (seriously, who wants to see Tom Cruise have sex?). Chuck is unfazed by the legions of half-clothed girls and skeezy-looking guys. “It’s more of a roving brothel,” he tells an outraged Blair, who proceeds to fend off the scantily clad ladies and keep firmly at Chuck’s side until the very end of the evening. More on that later.

Chuck tells her firmly there’s no room for secrets. “It’s just us here, you and me.” Blair looks him over and tells him, slowly, knowing full well the consequences, “Once everyone is gone, and it’s quiet, you need to go back into that house.” She tells him the truth withou …

The Innocence Lost task force investigators from the FBI and Omaha and Council Bluffs police departments plans to continue to target prostitutes, pimps and johns.
“The task force will continue to target those responsible for and those that buy the services of these unfortunate victims,” Sandy Breault, an FBI spokeswoman, said Friday. “The FBI is part of the apparatus in place to protect people, sometimes even from their own poor choices.”
…
Council Bluffs police Sgt. Bob Christensen said 17 people were arrested in Council Bluffs alone — 12 women, three customers and two pimps.
…
“Pimps target girls who come from broken homes or who don’t have anybody to look up to,” he said. “These guys know how to get them by buying them meals, shoes, clothing or getting their hair done.

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa -
A federal prostitution sting put 13 people in jail, and the operation isn’t over yet.
The suspects are being held in the Pottawattamie County Jail.
A source said there were even more arrests as of Thursday night.
Police in Omaha and Council Bluffs are assisting the FBI in the investigation.
KETV NewsWatch 7 has learned the vast majority of the cases tie to specific websites.
“It used to be that it would happen in, you know, truck stop parking lots or downtown or something,” said Lt. Bob Brietzke. “But nowadays, they’re getting online on these different websites and actually putting out advertisements as to where they’re going to be, for how long, what they’re offering and so forth.”
Police made eight other arrests in Omaha earlier this week.

OMAHA(KPTM)–There are at least two thousand people in Nebraska who are forced to work as prostitutes. That’s according to research from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
Lawmakers say one of the biggest obstacles in helping these people is that the public doesn’t know–or believe–that people are sold for sex. Many have a hard time believing it happens right at home in Nebraska.
…
Lawmakers say it’s difficult to know for certain partially because many police don’t know how to separate a victim from someone in prostitution willingly.
…
She introduced and helped pass a bill that ups the prison sentence to maximum of 20 years. Before, a person convicted of pandering–coercing or forcing a person into prostitution–would only face a maximum of five years behind bars.
The bill calls for a task force to study trafficking in Nebraska and adds training for law enforcement and lawyers to teach them to separate prostitutes and victims.

OMAHA, Neb. -
Mayor Jim Suttle toured one of Omaha’s oldest neighborhoods on Wednesday.
Officials said crime used to be a common thing in the area of 36th Street and Woolworth Avenue, but times have changed.
A new dog park was created at Hanscom Park, but residents said plenty of work still must be done, especially filling up the vacant buildings and houses. Suttle said there needs to be new incentives to get families to come and stay.
Michelle Roy saw her current home and fell in love. A short time later, police made a prostitution arrest just outside her front door. It’s been 12 years since she moved in, and Roy said a lot has changed in Omaha’s Ford Birth Site neighborhood.
“A lot of midtown is also coming back up, and this neighborhood is no exception,” Roy said.
